Can anybody share his experiences, knowledge about SQL Server on Unix
Platforms?

1- Is there two flavors of unix SQL Server a) one that existed for Unix
    before LM/X
    b) one that works with LAN Manager/X? If there is just one, then
what is the mechanism that has enabled this connectivity?

2- Any experience about accessing a unix SQL/S from an OS/2 workstation?

2a Is the acessess complete transparent where it's an unix or os2 sql server
from the OS2 workstation standpoint? (ie. is it just a matter of a re-compile
with different sets of DBLIBs?)

 3- Will SQL/Server run on HP/UX?

4- I hear that Sybase is working on Unix workstation accessing an OS/2
    SQL/Server??

Follow up: to clarify, consider these boxes:

	------------ ----------- -----------
	| SQL/Server | | SQL/Server
	| LM | SQL/Server | LM/X
	| OS2 | Unix | Unix
	------------ ----------- -----------
		A B C

-----------------------------etherlink-----------------------------------

	---------------- ----------------
	OS/2 Workstation Unix Workstation
	---------------- ----------------
		1 2

Assumption: SQL/S on B and C are different products?

I know for a fact that:
	1 can access A over Named-Pipes
2 can access B over an IPC mechanism called (Berkeley Sockets)?
1 can access C is being advertized??
Who can confirm/comment on:
	2 can access A ????
	2 can access C ?????

Thank you.
