We have a product which interfaces to the Informix (UNIX) database system
(in this case it's on generic AT&T UNIX Sys V.3). The DB version is 2.10.03B.
We don't have version 3 nor yet version 4 Informix.
The sales people here tell me that they've been selling it for use with v3 and
have had no adverse problems...
Can anyone comment, please on the advisability (with reasons?) of using this
v2 binary with v4 Informix. I'd guess that it's a bad idea, but I've no
facts to back this up.
