[comp.databases] UNIFY 2000 In A Production Env ?

rohit@dmdev.UUCP (Rohit Mehrotra) (08/22/90)

I want to know the if any one is using UNIFY 2000 in a live
production environment, having approximately the following
 configuration:

 1) Database of size 1 GigaByte or more (basically a large database).
 2) Running on SunOS or SCO XENIX/UNIX.
 3) Approx 40 or more users simultaneously using the system.

If any one has this configuration, I would appreciate if they
could post their replies giving their experience, in the following:

 1) Speed of the data retrieval i.e. performance of the database.
 2) Reliability and integrity of the data.
 3) Frequency of database crashes and the recovery time.
 4) Ease of maintenance of this size of database.
 5) Hardware and Operating System being used.

Also, I would like to know if someone is using the client-server
architecture, in the above mentioned environment.

I am looking forward to hearing from UNIFY also.

Please EMAIL the responses and I would then post a complete summary
as to the experiences of the people using it (if any?).

 Thanks

 rohit
