We have been having a problem with Informix Turbo. If you write
an application using a temporary table, Informix sometimes keeps
the temporary table and drops the real table.
The only "fix" is to do a re-initialization of the entire
database.
So far, we have lost 4 tables in the last two weeks.
This is another one of those bugs that Informix knows about, but
refuses to let their users know about. Does someone other than
Informix have the complete bug list?
Has anyone else had a problem with "automatically" dropped tables?
My account representative at Informix says that this problem is
alledgedly fixed with "ON-LINE". Does anybody have a confirmation
of this? We can't install "ON-LINE" since Informix still hasn't
sent us documentation for the product yet.
