Dear All, A while back I posted a query about SAS usage. I have had several nice replies from fellow SAS users. Bob Paver of the Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corp of Austin, Texas, sent the following: vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv There is an active SAS mailing list that is part of BITNET. You can subscribe to the list by sending an e-mail message to: LISTSERV@OHSTVMA.IRCC.OHIO-STATE.EDU The message should contain one line containing: subscribe sas-l <your name> You might also send a line with HELP on it to get more info about the LISTSERV world. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Subscribing to this list yields anything between 1 and 10 mail messages per day, on different aspects of SAS. Some people using vaxes, some on PCs and others on IBM mainframes. I've not sent anything to it yet... The mailing list also appears in the form of a newsgroup bit.listserv.sas-l and our technical people have enabled this group on one of our machines (unfortunately not the one I usually use). There is (I think) a 1:1 correspondence between items sent to the mailing list and items posted into the newsgroup. If there is a lot of interest in SAS at your site, then the newsgroup version would be better than everyone getting their own copy of the mail. I hope fellow SAS people find this information useful, and I look forward to meeting them via mail or news.
