[comp.databases] Unify Mailing List

itkin@mrspoc.Transact.COM (Steven M. List) (10/03/90)

Just a little reminder that there is a mailing list for Unify and ACCELL
users. It is maintained as a service of the Unify Users Group of Northern
California (and the world :^>). To gain access to the list:

To add an address to the list, send a message to

        "uug-dist-request@mrspoc.Transact.COM"

with a Subject: beginning with the word "ADD" (it's case insensitive).

To remove an address from the list, send a message beginning with
any of the words "DROP", "DELETE", or "REMOVE" (again, it's case
    insensitive).

Messages that begin with words other than these will be passed
    along to the list administrator.

If there is a Reply-To: header in the message, the address from that
header will be added to or dropped from the list. This permits you to
add/drop a local mailbox for redistribution as opposed to your personal
address (something a lot of the addressees have done). If there is no
Reply-To: header, the address from the From: header will be used.
In either event, the system will attempt to match on the Email address
if possible, otherwise on the "Real" name. If it fails on both, it will
send you back a message saying so.

If you are on the list and don't remember how you're listed, just send
a request to uug-dist-request and we'll see what we can do!

This list has been VERY useful in solving problems for people, and we
encourage you to join us if you have any interest in Unify products.
Unify does monitor the list (they're only guests :^>), and has been
known to reply on occasion.

Feel free to join us.
