software engineering:
Positions:
o Software Engineer III
o Software Engineer II
Duties/Responsibilities:
o DISTRIBUTED APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT TOOLS
Unify is committed to the implementation of Open Systems
based on existing and emerging standards in the areas of
user interface, OO technology and DBMS interface. We are
looking for engineers with Sybase, Oracle, Informix, Ingres,
Progress, Integra or other major relational database inter-
nals experience, in a Unix or VMS environment, to staff up
our DBMS Interface group.
This group is responsible for implementing the interfaces to
these and other data bases using a native SQL integration
strategy and the interface TBD by the SQL Access Group.
Qualifications:
o You must possess the following qualifications to be con-
sidered for the Software Engineer II or III positions:
* BS in Computer Science, or equivalent.
* AT LEAST 5 years (SE III) or 2 years (SE II) work experience,
in a commercial or government environment (*post* academic).
* SOFTWARE PRODUCT development, in AT LEAST 3 (SE III) or
2 (SE II) of the following areas:
* Compiler design
* RDBMS internals
* SQL internals
* Object Oriented analysis, design and/or implementation
* Software tools development
* X-Windows (xlib) development
* Open Look
* Motif
