We plan to distribute our databases by using the INFORMIX-Star product. Further, we plan to run TCP/IP on X.25 WAN. Anyone interested in commenting on this? In particular I am interested in hearing if anybody's done this and did you succeed? Will the response times be acceptable? How about comms costs? What criteria can we use to keep the communications costs as low as possible? Any tools available? Of course, I am interested in general remarks, too. The application will be programmed in Informix-4GL. We estimate to have circa 100 tables in our database. Our X.25 WAN consists of 40 sites. ---ekv -- Esa Viitala TOLLPOST-GLOBE A/S, Systems Department, PO Box 100, N6301 ]ndalsnes, Norway Tel: (+47 72) 21211 / 264, Fax: (+47 72) 22161 ...!mcsun!nuug!tglobe2!esa
