I'd appreciate recommendations for add-on application development products to supplement and/or replace Oracle's own development tools - especially SQL*FORMS, SQL*MENU, and SQL*REPORTWRITER. We are currently attempting to use Oracle version 6 on VAX/VMS with SQL*FORMS 3.0 and SQL*MENU 5.0. Designer and user-friendliness is a primary concern. Relatively simple applications are taking too long to develop using Oracle's own tools. I've seen some articles on JAM and FOCUS and would like some feedback from programmers familiar with these development tools, as well as any others you could recommend.
