I was hoping to write a program to update a database over the phone. During the night about a 100 people(PC) will call up, the server(PC) will determine the needed records, send them, and the client will process the transactions. The database part is no problem. I've done Data Comm stuff in C and Pascal but was wondering if anyone had any preferences or experience with Clipper libraries such as AdComm or SilverComm. Any that also do file compression? Respond via email and I'll post a summary if needed. -- BAKER,JAMES G - Lab Technician, School of Electrical Engineering Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Georgia, 30332 uucp: ...!{decvax,hplabs,ncar,purdue,rutgers}!gatech!prism!jgb Internet: jgb@prism.gatech.edu
