Wall of Voodoo's "Dark Continent" is certainly in the same vein as "Call of the West". I have both of them recorded, with a complete disregard for any copy- right laws that I may have broken. They're not my favorite band by any means, but when you're in the mood for some slightly strange lyrics and sound, they could be the perfect solution. I understand that they're terrific in concert. One of the better cuts on "Dark Continent" is "Back in Flesh". There is a live version of this tune on the "URGH - A Music War" album. The URGH album is an incredible double album, composed of single live cuts from a multitude of bands, such as The Police, Devo, XTC, Gary Numan (I guess he's not a band), Oingo Boingo, and Athletico Spizz '80. Out of about 25 cuts, only 2 or 3 are really bad, and quite a few are excellent. I'd suggest back-burnering any more Wall of Voodoo desires until you've at least gotten URGH.
