The workshop will be held at the Kyodai-Kaikan (15-9 Yoshida Kawaramachi, 
Sakyo 606 Kyoto), located in the eastern part of Kyoto city. 

REGISTRATION and PAYMENT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The registration fee covers the technical sessions of the workshop,
welcome reception and one copy of the proceedings per registrant. 

For participants from North America and Canada, payment can be made in U.S. 
Dollars by Bank Check. Please complete the registration form and send it with 
payment to the North American Workshop Secretariat. 

Participants from other area are supposed to register directly in Japan.  In 
this case, PAYMENT MUST BE MADE IN JAPANESE YEN by Bank Check or Bank Draft. 
Please complete the registration form and send it with payment to the Local 
Arrangements Chair. 

The Registration Desk will open on Sunday, April 7, 17:00-20:00 p.m., and 
during the workshop. At the registration desk, payment must be made in 
JAPANESE YEN by CASH ONLY. 

CANCELLATION
~~~~~~~~~~~~
To cancel registrations, a written notice must be sent to the Local 
Arrangements Chair. The following cancellation charges will be deducted before 
the deposit is refunded. 

Workshop Registration: 
  Before Feb. 15, 1991:  No charge
  After  Feb. 15, 1991:  80% refund

CITY WALK
~~~~~~~~~
From 15:30 on April 7, we will walk near the conference site, through 
old shrines, temples and Kyoto Handicraft Center. 

RECEPTION
~~~~~~~~~
After the city walk, welcome reception will be held at room 101 from 18:00.

DINNER TOUR
~~~~~~~~~~~
The dinner tour will be held on Monday, April 8, at 17:15-21:00. The tour 
includes traditional Kyoto style dishes with ancient Japanese dance show 
and GEISHA performance. 

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS 
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Workshop Secretariat has reserved rooms for 30 persons on April 7 
and 8 (2 nights), and for 10 persons on April 5, 6 and 9 at the hotel 
near the conference site. 

Participants who wish to make a reservation at the hotel are requested 
to complete the hotel reservation form with the remittance of a deposit of 
\10,000 (U.S.$74). Room assignment will be made on first-come, first-served 
basis. 

For cancellation, written notice should be sent to the Local Arrangements 
Chair.  Deposit will be refunded after deducting the following cancellation 
charges.  

   Before April 6, 1991:  No charge
       On April 6, 1991:  70% refund
       On April 7, 1991:  50% refund

If no notice is given before the first night of stay, deposit will not be 
refunded. 

CLIMATE AND CLOTHING
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The weather in Kyoto in April is expected to be mild with the average 
temperature 13.8 $@!,(JC (56.8$@!,(JF) and humidity ranging about 61%. 
A long-sleeve shirt and spring coat will be appropriate.
It is a best season for cherry blossom. 

TRANSPORTATION 
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From Osaka International Airport, Airport Limousine will take you to 
Japanese Railway(JR) Kyoto Station in 60 minutes. From JR Kyoto Station to 
Kyodai-Kaikan, it takes about 20 minutes by taxi.
  From New Tokyo International Airport (Narita), take Airport Limousine to 
Tokyo City Air Terminal and get on Hikari Super Express train at Tokyo central 
JR station. It will bring you to Kyoto in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
