How about a top-40 listing of most popular songs, records, etc. I don't mean a vote, but actual Billboard statistics (I don't subscribe).

For the week ending Nov. 20, 1982 1. Up Where We Belong - Jennifer Warnes & Joe Cocker 2. Truly - Lionel Ritchie 3. Heart Attack - Olivia Newton-John 4. Gloria - Laura Branigan 5. Heartlight - Neil Diamond 6. Mickey - Toni Basil 9. Maneater - Hall & Oates 10. Muscles - Diana Ross I don`t remember what 7 & 8 were. I also don`t subscribe to Billboard, it costs > $100 per year! I do listen to American Top 40 every week. If you`re not familiar with it, it`s a syndicated radio show that counts down the 40 biggest songs of the week according to BILLBOARD, hosted by Kasey Kasum. In Chicago, it`s on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on WLS-AM (890). Check around in your area, I`m sure somebody has it. Incidentally, Up Where We Belong has been #1 3 weeks now, and it`s the first #1 for both Warnes and Cocker. Tom O`Connor ixlpc!tomoc
