Can someone please send me a brief summary of the calling mechanism for 4D externals. The distributor in Australia is pathetic and wants us to buy the complete externals kit (ie: library of externals) just to get some doc on the calling mechanism (they also do lovely things like charging $60 for the BUGFIX from 2.1 to 2.1.1). I am a competent programmer and just need the bare info on how parameters are passed but some source code would help if available, just to check the specs. Thanks in Advance.. Andy Dent A.D. Andy,
This is coming from an ignorant guy, in terms of I don't know what you
have available in Australia in terms of connections to other systems.
However, if you do have CompuServe access available, consider getting
an account, as ACIUS has a support forum on CIS that is crammed full of users,
ACUIS tech support personnel, source code, external demos and externals, you
name it.
I realize I may not be much help, but at least I'm not charging you for
it .... .like your dealership.... wow!!!!
