I didn't think anybody talked about Rdb/VMS in this newsgroup. Since I had
seen questions about it I decided to give it a try.
I have been having a problem running RMU/VERIFY on several of our Rdb/VMS
databases (Rdb 3.1B-0/ VMS 5.4). This warning appears when the database is
being verified:
beginning verification of index INDEX page X
the fullness value for this data page does not match
the threshold value in the space management page
expected: 3, computed: 0
PAGE FORMAT for this database is UNIFORM. This problem does not occur every
time the database is verified (daily before backup). The problem can also
appear or disappear when you run verification after verification.
RMU help facility says to correct the error by exporting then importing the
database (or unloading then loading). This works for a while but eventually
the warnings come back.
Any ideas on what the problem is or what should be done about this problem
or should we not worry about it since the databases are backed up w/o problems.
If this is not the correct place for Rdb/VMS questions, let me know the proper
groups or organizations available. I will also be asking DEC the same questions.
