I have asked this question before, but let me try again. I have written an application in dbase3+ (c. 0.5 MB), and I am really needing to split up my table into two and start doing multiple joins with other existing tables. With dbase4 I believe that I can have multiple tables open, at least in browse, and perhaps in edit with various screen formats in use simultaneously. I want to open the main table, and open the supplementary tables by hitting a function key (or whatever), called on a key field, of course. Then, I'd like to scroll through the supplementary tables. My question is: what pc based software is best for this? We are pretty comitted to dbase, but I am willing to change, since what I want to do may be *very* cumbersome in dbase4 - might be easier for me to rewrite the code for some different software package!! Thanks in advance, please email, and hi Alistair! Glad you're back :-). dan <>< "Surrender the hunger to say you must know, | <>< Have the courage to say I believe, ==+== <>< For the power of paradox opens your eyes, | <>< And blinds those who say they can see." -- Michael Card |
