I have posted this plaintive query once already, but I will try one more time. We are contemplating the purchase of a major database package for UNIX (SunOS to be precise), and are considering Sybase, Ingres, Informix, Oracle My last posting asked for comparative evaluations of these products; I regret that I got many more requests for summary than real info! So once more, with feeling: you good people who bought these products, surely you had a reason for buying Brand X rather than Brand Y. Share the secret! By email please, not to clutter the group. If you have already taken pity and replied to this post, please ignore and sorry for the noise. If I don't get more helpful info this time I will shut up and go away... de
