I'm looking for a networked database system that will support client tracking. Basically the setup is as follows: A university faculty registrars office with 286 PCs connected on a Banyan network. The office needs to track "clients" (students) who come in for assistance - having the ability to annotate the particular students file as they flow through the system. There would be some fixed fields but also a good deal of free text commentary. I know the system could be setup with some standard DOS dbase (DBASE 4.1 ...) but it would be nice to pick up an application that didn't cause the reinvention of the wheel... Any suggestions? ----- Bruce Winer | Internet: bwiner@ccs.carleton.ca Faculty of Social Sciences | Bitnet: BWINER@CARLETON Carleton University | Tel: (613) 788-3919 Ottawa, Ontario, Canada K1S 5B6 | Fax: (613) 788-3742
