[comp.databases] Can SAYWHAT generate object files????

yychow@pasm07.enet.dec.com (yychow) (03/12/91)

Have anyone used the "SAYWHAT" (screen design package) package before ?
I found it quite useful, but need someone to tell me whether it can
generate any object code (.obj), since I do not want to use the resident
program (POPVIEW) that they provide. Please send me any information
	to the e-mail address below.

	Thanks in advance,

I don't believe saywhat will create a file in a format a linker will
swallow. However, The programmers (I don't have the names here-I am
at home) seem pretty repsonsive and if it strikes them that such a
feature is A Good Idea, they might make it available. Perhaps as a
separate utility program that inputs .sqz files and outputs .obj files.
And that brings up a question...what are you gonna do with the data
for the screen if you can get it into a .obj file? You'll need a
program of function to toss it onto the monitor at some point. Gonna
roll your own? Just curious.
