Does anyone know of reliable comparative results for the "DebitCredit" benchmark for database systems? The benchmark is published by the Transaction Processing Performance Council (TPC), whose membership includes most large manufacturers. Thanks in advance, Kevin -- This Signature Intentionally Left Blank. E-mail: kh@cs.glasgow.ac.uk

Unless your interest is strictly historical, a suggestion would be that you shift your interest to "TPC-A", or "TPC-B". Write to a consulting firm: Itom, International, POB 1450 Los Altos, Ca. 94023. (415) 948-4516. TPC-x have greatly tightened up the DebitCredit spec, and thus replaced the ill-specified DebitCredit for all credible published results since they became available. None of these benchmarks are in source form, rather they define a transaction and database sizing rules. If you really are interested in DebitCredit, try _Datamation_, (if memory serves) April, 1985.
