[comp.databases] Clipper and MS-Windows

jgb@prism.gatech.EDU (James G. Baker) (04/16/91)

I just got BORLAND C and (although I have not used it enough yet to hit
bugs) it is awesome enough to get me thinking about Windows applications. I
know the speed will drop off a *lot* but Windows "looks and feels" great
which is what my clients notice first (and mostly). This BORLAND package
does a lot, but is there a similiar package/library out there that will
add the same to Clipper code? Undoubtedly, I will stay with my trusted
nice text-boxes, lines, colors, shading, etc but was curious if Windows
was heading this way (other than the SQL windows-self-contained packages
out there now).

I'll post a summary if warranted. Thanks.
