I'm trying to generate a report using ORACLE Release 6.0 SQL.Report 1.1.9.4.2 on a SUN/UNIX system. I modified an already created .RPT ,then generate a new .RPT and RPF for this report. It's my understanding that when you execute RPT,it produces an interim file.(RPF suffix) You then process the interim file through the RPF formatter, to create the finished document. I do not get a finished document! My output consists of the defined tables only. (ex. # dt 1 3 10 25 30 31 35 ....) In reviewing other .RPF (interim) files I noticed data being extracted from database which verify's the format of report. This is not working for me! To execute .RPT I enter: RPT filename, output name password - generates my .RPF file To execute process interim file thru .RPF: RPF <inputfile> <output_dev> -usually use LP for printer. I would appreciate any information that someone can give me in reference to this subject. --------------------------------------------------------------- Dee Babbitt babbitt@npdiss3.StPaul.ncr.com NCR NPD AT&T: 612 - 638-7756 IS Business Consulting NCR: 652 - 7756 St Paul MN 55113
