Forgive me if I'm posting on a topic that has already been discussed; I looked throught the recent postings and didn't see any similar threads. And now my problem..... I have just received my new 33mzh i486 machine with great expectations of being able to do many wonderful things with it. Unfortunately (? sp) I can't seem to get Dbase III+ to run on it. When I attempt to run dbase my screen goes blank, the 'Num' sign comes on where it normally does, the cursor drops to the next line and then..... Nothing happens (ever). No other keystrokes have any effect, even the warm boot sequence fails. I see this result regardless of whether the machine is running network drivers, windows 3.0, ect. Any ideas? My configuration is as follows: i486 (33mhz) AT&T Starserver S 4 Mb memory Qemm 5.1 memory manager 600 MB SCSI drive with a 300 meg DOS 401 partition Everex Viewpoint TC high resolution video card NEC 4d MultiSynch monitor
