[comp.databases] ORACLE version 5.1C or 6.0

S1.SRE@isumvs.iastate.edu (Sree) (05/01/91)

Does anyone know how much memory (RAM) does ORACLE version 5.1C or
6.0 would require for a 286/386 machine running DOS? We currently
have version 5.1B and would like to upgrade. We need to run the
ORACLE tools such as SQL*FORMS, SQL*REPORTWRITER, SQL*MENU, others.
Our current machines have 3MB of extended RAM.

Also, has anyone heard about ORACLE running on a Novell network?

Hi,

for Version 5.1C you need just the memory you have. It is the same
version with a couple of fixes.

For Version 6 you need about min.of 6MB of ram.

In the Novell Network there is an ORACLE Server for Netware 386
Version 3.11.
