Has anyone out there run into a product which gives the various tax rates in the USA at state, county and city level? I'm working for a third-party drop shipper, developing applications to process our mail order business. As far as I have been told by the managment, we have to plan the system to apply the sales tax at the point of purchase. I always thought it was applied at the point of sale, but it would make sense to keep the tax monies local, and I'm told legislation to do just that is pending. So, is there a product that lists sales taxes by zip code? This gets to a non-database question, do zip codes ever contain more than one tax "zone" ? I'm familiar with the zip code databases, we use them to pull up city and state info, and help decide how to label our packages for whatever carrier we choose to send it via. Can anyone suggest any packages or companies we might try contacting? Thanks, - Dean A. Herman
