[comp.databases] Paradox World Tour

abreen@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu (Alex Breen) (05/09/91)

Over the past year I have received mailing after mailing trying to get me
to go to conferences on Paradox. These mailings have so far quickly found
their way to the old circular file. However, after I work more and more with
Paradox, I am now considering attending a conference. I was just mailed some
advertisement for the 1991 Paradox World Tour. I am considering to register,
and would like to know if it is worth my time and effort. Is it worth the
price tag of $395? Has anybody out there attended these conferences in the
past? Thanks.

I have not attended this particular training but have had a chance to hear
both of the featured speakers for this tour, Brian J. Smith and Dan Erhmann.
Both are excellent speakers and top notch Paradox programmers. The PAL code
they offer for free is probably worth the price of the session. Most of my
applications are made up of code they graciously provide for free. They both
frequently answer my Paradox questions on Compuserve. They both have been
providing training seperately for several years. This is the first year that
they have teamed up together, I believe, and I bet it is one heck of a show.
