We have installed ORACLE Version 6.0.30 on our IBM 3090
(VM/XA), VAX 8700 (VMS) and SUN4 (SUNOS). All machines
are connected to the Ethernet using TCP/IP Protocols.
Our data on the IBM contains accented characters
(EBCDIC code page 500).
When we use SQL*Net (TCP/IP) to communicate with the IBM
from the VAX and the SUN, the accented characters are not
treated correctly. (Its OK between the VAX and the SUN.)
So far ORACLE (Switzerland) has not been able to help us.
