[comp.databases] dBase III/IV on VMS

Does anyone have a review of different xBase-Clones implemented under VMS?

I've been poking around with Recital (they were nice enough to ship out a 30
day demo copy) and there's another company out in Joisey which wishes to send
me a review copy.

I have one or two applications (well, my friends do :-) which would be ported
outta dBase IV/DOS to ???/VMS?

I'm also toying with the idea of getting dBase IV/VMS from Digital on a 30-day
PAK to look at (and try to port code on).

I can assure you there is no need to "port" dBASE IV code from any other
platform to dBASE IV/VMS: we have done the porting, and provide binary
compatibility for compiled .DBOs, as well as at the .PRG level.

DISCLAIMER: OK, maybe you have a custom .BIN file that you LOAD/CALL.
But we even provide support for PC drive letters hard-coded in file
names on all platforms.
