Hallo to all participants of the news group: comp.databases
Since two weeks I do have the possibility to use this communication medium.
Now I like to use this medium to get some exchange of information on the
following topic:
I'm working on the topic of DATABASE APPLICATION in PLANT BREEDING.

I would like to discribe my problem in more detail.
I'm interesded in organising a database system for "non standard objects".
Our data are normaly stored in a dbase or ASCII format. But we do have also
some exchange of information with other institutes. This exchange of data
is mostly organised by transmitting data via different type of dataformates:
Type of information: Type of file format:
-------------------- --------------------
1.) numeric experimental results ASCII, dbase, paradox usw.
2.) text ASCII
2.) graphics several
I would like to manage all different types of information with an easy and
a userfriendly application.
I would be very glad on any information which is able to help me.
I would like to get contact to people which are working on the the same
or related topic.
If anyone is working on the same topic I suggest a cooperation to be more
efficient in creating an application.
