I would like to ask if you people using INGRES(university version) or POSTGRES for serious application. We want to have a RDBMS on Sun Sparc, but the budget is a problem. Our application is very general, doesn't have many special requirements. Do you think we can jump onto INGRES(University) or POSTGRES? Among these two, which do you prefer?
