I have an ingres database with some 30 relations, each of which is quite small. The entire quantity of data in the database will be less than 1Mb. I want to know if there is any way I can force Ingres to cache the entire database in memory and keep it there regardless of time periods between use etc... I wish to do this because there will be heavy usage of most, if not all the relations and that it will chiefly be interactive use (so fast response is desirable). Is this possible? Will it be done anyway given sufficient free memory (machine has 64Mb memory)? Thanks, Raymond. -- Raymond Wilson. email: raymond@cosc.canterbury.ac.nz snail: c/- Computer Science Department, University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
