[comp.databases] A question about realtime multiuser database systems....

cruz@hpuxa.acs.ohio-state.edu (Alex Cruz) (06/11/91)

Dear Everybody:

We are looking for a MS DOS/NOVELL database system/software that will
enable us to the following:

	- automatically update LAN multiple connected workstations when
updates to the database arrive. Specifically, update the
	  displays of the workstations.

We are currently doing this by using NETBIOS communication messages
from the updating workstations to the rest of the workstations. And
we are looking for a package that will do the updates automatically.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

dBASE IV supports read-through locking, dynamic refresh and various language-
level concurrency support tools. I'll gladly be more verbose, but I'm not
sure your question pertains to products such as dBASE.
