[comp.databases] Scientific notation with dBase

This should be a simple question.
 
I have some numbers that I would like to display in scientific
notation with 4 decimal places of accuracy. How do I do it.
 
Here's some examples :
 
         Number       What I want     What I can get
      1.1234567890    1.1234E+0       1.1234567890E+0
      0.0123456789    1.2345E-2       0.123456789E-1
      0.0012345767    1.2345E-3       0.1234567E-2
      0.0000012345    1.2345E-6       0.12345E-5
 
I would like to know how to do this ASAP.  Please send me a message
