I had been wondering just what it is AT&T is up to in the area of foreign language support. Besides the Japanese Application Environment, there have only been hints (a few lines in the SVID, a few lines in some other documents)...it sort of sounds like "Well, we are planning to do something about this, so all you guys keep your hands off, but all we are going to tell you is the character set standard we intend to follow". Our account rep doesn't seem to have any information. Then, out of the blue, someone noted that AT&T had a multiple- language system running at Uniforum. Can anyone comment on what they are actually doing, when we can see availability, etc? Because it looks like I won't be able to wait for their code to release my System V products, and I am going to have to bite the bullet...our former implementation has to be overhauled anyway, and I would rather get close to what AT&T intends so I don't have to do too major an overhaul once more in the future....
