For those people that were arguing over whether ksh is worth the price, I have just been informed that the AT&T Toolchest is not open for business to the public yet... they are still testing the "electronic distribution". So even if you HAVE the money, you still can't get it. If anyone can clarify what the situation is I'd appreciate it... Is it possible to obtain toolchest software through the normal AT&T purchasing channels? -- Robert Berlinger ...{philabs,cucard,pegasus,ihnp4,rocky2}!aecom!naftoli

the way i heard it, although the toolchest people run honey danber, they're having trouble coping with the old-and-tired versions of uucp running on the other side. in particular, many uucp's-of-the-past are broken when it comes to creating directories in PUBDIR. rumor has it that the problem is in good hands. peter

I got a call back which clarified the situation to me. The Toolchest is being introduced in a controlled fashion. Those people who are System V licensees are now eligible to execute the Toolchest agreement. Sorry for any misunderstanding. -- Robert Berlinger ...{philabs,cucard,pegasus,ihnp4,rocky2}!aecom!naftoli
