[comp.std.internat] ISO 10646????

sommar@enea.se (Erland Sommarskog) (07/15/89)

All I know of this standard is that it is a multiple-octet character
set.

I'm curious. What's its status? Is there a draft? When will it be
settled? How does it look like?

And is its number just a coincidence or was it deliberately chose
to rhyme with ISO 646, which defines ASCII with national replacements?

By the way, are all sets in ISO 8859 settled now?

Reply in comp.std.internat or to me, and I will summarize.
