[comp.org.usenix] evidence of Unix license

mkhaw@teknowledge-vaxc.UUCP (08/04/87)

We are a site with binary-only license for Ultrix on our VAXes and
Sun Unix on our Sun-3s. The USENIX membership application asks for
a copy of a signed Unix license so that we can receive USENIX tapes.

We've checked our records, but neither DEC nor Sun appear to have
executed a license signed by their representatives or ours. The
closest thing we have is a mass-produced 4-page binary license that
Sun ships with its Unix system tapes -- no signatures of any kind.

Would a copy of this be satisfactory for USENIX? Any Ultrix/Sun
USENIX members care to comment?

Thanks,
Mike Khaw
