[comp.org.usenix] Oddity with 4.3 manuals

roy@phri.UUCP (Roy Smith) (11/17/87)

We just got our 4.3 manuals from Usenix c/o Howard Press. We
ordered 5 programmers manuals. One of them has two extra pages between the
copyright page and the table of contents: first an upside-down page iii/vi,
and then a rightside-up page iii/iv. The rest of the book seems to be
intact, but I havn't actually counted pages or anything. Anybody else
notice this or do I have a rare and valuable collector's item? :-)

Every one of the ten copies of the System Manager's Manual that we
received has a large portion of the beginning of the manual (Title Page
through rexecd(8) ) duplicated after section 6. Have not seen ant
upside down pages but I thought it was real nice of Howard Press to
send the extra copies of section 8. ;-)

I just received mine last week and they all appear to be normal. Guess
you must have a "rare and valuable collector's item."
