A source site that we desire to talk to is running System-V (R2) whose uucp has a hostname limit of 6 characters. Given that our sitename is 7 characters long, we have been unable to talk to them. Does anyone have a set of context diffs that you could mail to me (I'll forward to them) to get SVR2 to talk to hostnames of up to 8 characters (System-V allows up to 8 character hostnames - it's uucp thats brain damaged!)? Note that Honey-Danber is NOT a useful suggestion due to its cost. If no response is heard, then I'll just have to change our sitename :-( Thanks in advance. -- Doug Robinson Jobs don't kill programmers... programmers kill jobs! 617/492-8810 ...!{mit-eddie, harvard, mirror}!cybvax0!dbr
