Followup-To's directed to rec.food.veg. The replies i received are appended (slightly edited). If you are driving from New England, i recommend you plan a lunch stop at Bloodroot, 85 Ferris St, Bridgeport, CT 06605 (203)576-9168. It's one of the best vegetarian/natural food restaurants in the Northeast (and better than Kung Food in San Diego). Run by a Feminist collective. There is a small bookstore and t-shirt vendory attached. It's about a mile off I-95 on the harbor. Take Exit 25 turning south onto Fairfield Ave, at the third stop light take a left onto Ellsworth Street, take the second left onto Thruston Street, right onto Harbor Ave, left onto Ferris. Call first to make sure they are open. Last time i was there, their hours were: Lunch: 11:30 to 2:30, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat. Dinner: 6 to 9 Tues and Thurs, 6 to 11 Fri and Sat. Brunch: 11:30 to 2:30 Sun. enjoy -len ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: karen@umbc3.umbc.edu (Karen Petraska) Subject: health food restaurants Len: In response to my posting: From: UMBC::NAGARAJ "NEERCHAL K.
