Anecdote about Winter '87 Usenix:
It was my first *and* my first trip to D.C. I wanted to get around and
see things so I rented a car. I paid extortionary rates *and* $7/day
at the hotel to park it and there it sat ... the whole time ... under a
foot and a half of snow. In contrast, the Metro got me everywhere I
wanted to go efficiently and pleasantly.
Get reservations into National and forgo the rental/parking
foolishness. You'll be glad you did.
Aside:
Anybody bringing "The President's Analyst" for a re-screening? It was
the highpoint of the last meeting in D.C. (that and Dennis' Dialectic
:-/).

Take a ride on the the D.C. Metro. The politicians must have heard about the amazing Moscow Metro and demanded that there must not be a ``metro gap'' (1/2 ;-))! Hence, billions and billions of your tax dollars paid for it! -- Howard G. Page AT&T LZ 1B-115K (201)576-2731 ..!att!lzaz!hgp
