The USENIX Association is pleased to announce that Deborah K. Scherrer of mt Xinu has become President of the Association. Alan Nemeth has decided to step down prior to the expiration of his term in June 1990. He will continue to serve as a Director.

Without meaning to be unkind, can I maybe suggest that if you don't know who the president was, and if the said president was male or female, then the actual reason for the resignation is probably of no interest to you at all. If you still want to know, look in the minutes of the DC board of directors meeting, which are normally published in login, and in this group. Philip PS I can assure you that the reason was an excelent one, and there is no hint of any scandal or dissatisfaction on the part of anyone.
