<munch?> I'm sure I'll get in trouble with our local (overworked) wizards, but this seems like such a obvious thing that there must be dozens of solutions about. Our problem is that we are porting programs which use "long names" (greater than six or eight or something) into a UNIX System V which has an assembler and loader which do NOT support long names. (Note that the C compiler DOES support long names, but the rest of the chain doesn't.) Anybody have a program/script/incantation which will help us out? Please respond to me (I seriously doubt there's enough interest to bother even promising a summary!), and any and all help will be much appreciated. Adthanksvance!
