I am creating a bank of objective (multiple choice) test questions that
could be used for student assignments. It would be nice to have the
completed assignments marked by machine and records of results and
submission dates etc kept.
I know we could put this together ourselves with some shell scripts and
a few C programs, but I suspect this has all been done before. If so,
I' be glad to hear from anyone who has something in this area. [Why
re-invent the wheel? :-)]

followup, I'll post a summary of replies in a week or so.
