This was a great idea. I'm glad somebody finally took the time to do something like this. I use USENET, and I don't have easy access to a nice map like this. Anybody crazy enough (got a spare week?) to make one up for USENET??? Jeff

The last logical map of USENET was done in 1984 by Bill & Karen Shannon, and even then, it wasn't flat. The connectivity (and sheer size!) of the network is so great now that a logical map would be a useless mish-mash. Even the geographic maps are a mess for any area larger than a city. As for a directory of what organizations are on the network, this is posted semi-regularly in comp.mail.maps. That "map" includes connectivity data, so you can tell how to get from A to B.
