I have written a Tech Report on a course we offer at Columbia, ``Software Design Laboratory'' which is intended to be a laboratory in the manner of Physics or Chemistry. The report describes the design of the course and its role in our curriculum. The paper is called ``A Practical Course in Software Design'', and presents my experiences with this course.
