[comp.edu] Graduate CS programs

uucibg@sw1e.UUCP (3929]) (04/05/89)

I'm sure that this has been asked umpteen times by now so I would appreciate
it if someone would mail me a copy of the info or point me in the right
direction.

I realize that it's a very subjective question, but I would like to get a
ranking of grad programs in CS that are available. Things like:

quality of the program
prestige of the program
general requirements to get into the program
number of grad students per professor
financial aid possibilities
social life (a bit of an oxymoron for grad school, I know...)
areas of concentration

OR, a pointer to some wonderful publication which has collected all this info
into a neat little bundle for me. (By the way, I've been out of school for
a couple of years if that makes any difference).

I'd be happy to hear individual responses for particular schools.

Please email me and if, for some strange reason, the rest of the world is not
tired of these issues, I'll be happy to summarize to the net as requested.

Thanks in advance,
