[comp.edu] Grad programs

uucibg@sw1e.UUCP (3929]) (04/25/89)

A while back I posted asking for info about grad programs and info about
the (relative) quality of different grad schools (a very subjective thing
of course). I got a couple of references to the Peterson's guides
( Peterson's Annual Guides (Graduate Studies), Book 5: Engineering and Applied
Sciences ). I also got a couple of replies that pointed out that I should
first decide what I'd like to study and *then* ask which schools are doing
work in those areas. I got many requests for a summary of stuff, but as is
by now obvious, there wasn't much (in fact, I think I got about 25 requests
for summaries and about 4 replies that gave advice or provided a bit of
information :-).

So, now I'll do things over but a bit differently. I'm quite interested in
object-oriented programming, object-oriented databases (though this is a new
area for me), and hyper-textual systems. Thus, I'd like to hear about programs
that involve these areas.

Thanks in advance,
