I am preparing an undergraduate course covering descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis, and an introduction to microcomputers. I have done this before using exercises based on my own data, but I'd like to see what else is available for demonstrating exploratory methods of analysis. Especially helpful would be exercises with data sets that appear to be unpatterned, but which reveal interesting patterns after the student controls for this and transforms that. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance -- = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = G.D.
