Dear Net,
I am an undergraduate student at Bristol University. I'd
would appreciate personal recommendations and opinions on research
programs to enter when I've completed my degree (which is in Joint
Honours Maths & Philosophy). I'm interested in Knowledge
Representation, Natural Language Processing, and Neural Network
technology.
There is such a diversity of research in the area of cognitive
science and A.I. now that it is easily possible to waste months
listing all applicable institutions and writing to them. I'm hoping to
get a more honest like some advice on the pro's and con's of having a
famous/in-demand supervisor.
